Apple & Maple Baked Oatmeal
A Warm Start to Your Morning
Upgrade your morning routine with a breakfast that is part-muffin, part-bread pudding
The secret to this recipe’s success lies in the even heat distribution of the Whatever Pan. Because the cast aluminum holds heat so efficiently, the oatmeal bakes evenly from the edges to the center, preventing that “soggy middle” often found in glass baking dishes. Using the Jean Patrique garnishing tools to core the apples ensures you get perfect cubes every time, while the generous surface area of the pan allows for maximum “crispy top” coverage—especially when decorated with extra pecans and apple slices.

Cooks
40 – 45 mins
2 Fresh apples (Braeburn or Granny Smith work best)
6 cups Quick oats
1 cup Pure maple syrup
2 cups Milk (Dairy or plant-based)
1/3 cup Coconut oil, melted
1 Large egg
1/2 cup Pecans, roughly chopped
2 tsp Baking powder
2 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Vanilla extract
1 Preheat your oven to 180°C / 350°F.
2 Prep the Apples: Use the apple corer from your Garnishing Set to remove the cores cleanly. Using your Chopaholic Chef’s Knife, dice the apples into small, even cubes.
3 In your Small Mixing Bowl, beat the egg lightly. Add the maple syrup, melted coconut oil, vanilla, and milk, whisking until combined.
4 In a larger bowl, mix the oats, baking powder, and salt. Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and stir in most of the diced apples and pecans.
5 Lightly grease your Whatever Pan with a little oil or butter. Pour the oat mixture in and spread it evenly.
6 Decorate: Scatter the remaining apple cubes and pecans over the top for a professional, rustic finish.
7 Bake for 40–45 minutes until the top is golden brown and the oats have absorbed the liquid.
8 Allow to cool slightly for 5 minutes to let the oats set. Serve warm in bowls with an extra splash of cold milk.
