High Grade Stainless Steel

Every Jean Patrique chef knife is constructed using hard-wearing, high-carbon 3Cr13 stainless steel.
Single Forged Blades
Traditionally, kitchen knives can be either “forged” or “stamped”. The blade on a stamped knife is simply cut from a larger sheet of steel, which can result in a thinner blade that is prone to bending when cutting through tough ingredients.
In contrast, a forged knife is constructed from a single bar of steel, which is heated to high temperatures and pounded into shape. The resulting blade is thicker, stronger and the bolster at the handle (which holds the blade in place) gives the whole knife superior balance.
