Ingredients
For the crust
- 1 ¼ cups plain flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- ½ tbsp salt
- 1 stick cold butter
- 3 tbsp water
For the filling
- 2 ½ lbs strawberries
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 3 tbsp quick cooking tapioca
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ½ cup flour
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 stick cold butter
Method
- Preheat oven to 170°C.
- For the crust: Mix flour, sugar, salt, butter, water and using your hands until it forms a uniform ball.
- Lay it out on a floured surface with a rolling pin.
- Butter your Whatever Pan and place the crust on top of it.
- For the filling: Mix the strawberries, sugar, tapioca in a bowl and add to the crust in your pan.
- In a separate bowl mix the oats, flour, sugar and butter until it becomes a paste and place on top of the strawberry later.
- Place in the oven for 1 ½ hours and serve!
