Ingredients
- 1.5kg/3.3lb chicken legs
- 225g/1 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 120g/1 cup flour
- 5g/2 tsp chili powder
- 5g/2 tsp dried marjoram
- 5g/2 tsp ground oregano
- 5g/2 tsp dried sage
- 5g/2 tsp dried basil
- 5g/2 tsp onion salt
- 5g/2 tsp garlic powder
- 10g/1.5 tbsp paprika
- 10g/2 tsp salt
Method
- Cut the chicken legs in half.
- Add the buttermilk and the egg to a bowl and whisk well.
- In another bowl, add flour and all spices and mix well.
- Soak the chicken in the buttermilk and egg. Then, dredge it in the flour mixture on all sides and shake off the excess coating.
- Add oil to the Whatever Pan and heat it to 175°C/350°F.
- Add the chicken and fry for 8 minutes on each side.
- Remove the chicken from the oil and add to a drying rack on top of a clean cookie sheet. Voila!
